The 1958 graduating class of Kosciusko High School marked the 50th anniversary of graduation with a reunion on May 17. The day began with a sack lunch at the old high school cafeteria and a time for walking the hallowed halls of KHS, some for the first time in 50 years. Pictures were made in front of the building with mascot Kosy, owned by Drew and Gayle Chandler. The evening banquet was held at Wanda's Catering with former classmates meeting for a time of visitation. After the meal, Renny Breazeale greeted everyone and a DVD was shown which was provided by Breazeale's daughter Candy and her husband Mark. The DVD was made from a website, complete with 50's music, they designed in October and to which classmates had added pictures from years past. Deceased members were also remembered on the DVD. Classmates also attended who attended with the class but did not graduate. The evening ended with classmates remembering and relating experiences throughout the years as some had begun school together in the first grade. Those attending were Hugh Lee Ballard, Renny Breazeale, Mary Katherine Jordan Callahan, Drew Chandler, Morris Chapman, Jeff Dendy, Jack Dew, Betty Glaze Dodd, Janice Moore Ellington, Brenda Culpepper England, Sara Jo Pender Evans, Jimmy Fisher, Patsy Fryery Grayson, Jeraldine Jenkins Greer, Edward Harkey, Rose Mary Ballard Harrison, Katherine Gregory Kyle, Connie Proctor Lawrence, Willease Burrell Mabry, Douglas McAdams, Walter Newell, Marilyn Watts Robertson, Tip McMillan Rosamond, Martha Mills Sawyer, Mary Faye Braswell Sinclair, Roy Terry, Hillory Wright, Roy Bennett Sr., Rose Luper Cain, Faye Green Davis, Linda Stennett Price, Angela Hally Satterlee, and various family members of the class. |
