D.Y.R. you remember that in 1950 our football team was placed on probation and was not allowed to compete with other schools? Our football team was divided into two teams named "Pathfinders" & "Pioneers" and the two teams played each other every Friday night during the regular season? D.Y.R. When the new high school was built and the new building housed the sixth through the twelfth grades?
D.Y.R. Sliding down the fire escape on the old high school building until the janitors poured water down the chute?
D.Y.R. When the football field was located by the old high school, then a new field was built across the street next to the new high school building and later an even newer field was built at the fairgrounds on highway #12?
D.Y.R. When Roy Orbison and The Big Bopper entertained at the Attalla County Fair?
D.Y.R. Seeing the 1700 pound "Burdine" hog at the fair? How about "Juanita" the chicken eater?

D.Y.R. Girls in petticoats? Wearing as many as 12 or more at one time?
D.Y.R. Buckle back pants for the guys, and rolled up jeans? Flat top hair cuts and duck tails? Turned up collars and rolled up short sleeve shirts?
D.Y.R. Saddle oxfords and poodle skirts? Penny loafers or taps on your heels?
D.Y.R. Fender skirts, outside sun visors, curb feelers, "pin up girl" steering knobs, porter-walls, continental kits, or spotlights?
D.Y.R. Moon hub caps, sleepy-eye headlight covers, "Hollywood mufflers", no air conditioning, 12 volt oscillating fans, and "Pic" mosquito repellant?
D.Y.R. Steering wheel covers, sun visors, mud flaps, and removable rear seats for drive-in movie access's?

D.Y.R. The "Red Tops", ("Blue Flames" was John Lee's Band) and The Wagon Wheel
D.Y.R. When telephones had 2 or 3 numbers and you told the operator the number to call? Party lines and the first dial phones?
